About Me...

I love movies, games, Lego and Music.

My favorite movie is Donnie Darko, feel free to chat to me for hours about what it could mean. I have an extensive collection of unopened Lego Star Wars sets if you ask me I probably have it. The same can be said of my Blu Ray collection which I can safely say is an addiction at this point.

If I'm not on a job you'll find me sporting a, very fetching, grey jumper, especially in the winter. It has already shown up in both pictures you can see on this page, and I'm sure, many more.

Have you ever watched a video or movie and had to turn it off due to poor sound quality? We've all been there.

Sound takes on various forms: diegetic, non-diegetic, on-screen, off-screen, and more. The importance of sound is often overlooked. When executed successfully, it's rarely visible (pardon the pun), but providing subpar sound can derail the entire viewer experience. This is why relying on a talented sound recordist, foley artist, and/or sound editor is crucial to achieving the polished and professional quality we all aspire to.

Sound and visuals work hand in hand, offering the audience a window into the psyche of a performance. Sound is just as creative and interpretive a process as video. Which microphone will you use? Where should the mic be placed? How can you position yourself to capture audio without being intrusive? A highly skilled sound recordist must answer these questions quickly because a single misstep could result in time-consuming and costly reshoots or ADR (Automated Dialogue Replacement).
